Thousands of people attended this evening the traditional military parade
Santo Domingo, 27 feb – President Danilo Medina and Vice President Margarita Cedeño de Fernández headed this afternoon the traditional military parade that took place along the boardwalk of the capital under celebration 170 anniversary of Independence of the Republic.
The activity started at 5:00 Evening with a salvo of 21 guns by the First Regiment of the Presidential Guard, led by Brigadier General Braulio López Alcántara, followed by the singing of the hymn Dominican.
Medina was accompanied by the First Lady Candida Montilla Medina. The first place was presented to the Vice President Fernández Cedeño.
Both arrived precisely at the appointed time for the parade of soldiers, organized by the Ministry of Defence, which was witnessed by thousands of citizens from across the country.
